Build the Foundations for a Career in Plant Construction

The Pathway to Plant Construction programme has been designed for adults who are interested in starting a career within the construction, plant operations and infrastructure sectors.

This practical programme provides the skills, qualifications and industry knowledge needed to prepare for employment in the construction industry. Learners will gain an understanding of health and safety requirements, workplace expectations and the qualifications required to access site-based roles.

Successful learners will also work towards obtaining their CSCS Card, helping them become site-ready and increasing their employment opportunities.

During this pathway you will cover:

  • Getting Workplace Ready

  • English & Maths for Plant Construction

  • Introduction to Health & Safety in Construction

  • A visit to a plant construction training site

There are no formal entry requirements for this pathway.

We cannot fund refresher training for learners who have existing plant construction qualifications.

This pathway is assessed through completed learner work that shows achievement of personal learning targets.
